Mieko Scott

Mieko Scott, an Oakland California native,  is the Founder of Imagine That Kids, and Co-founder of Hella Nuts Plant-Based Cafe.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts in liberal studies with a minor in childhood psychology & development. Mieko plans activities that enforce educationally appropriate curriculum for children, their families, and local communities. She implemented several healthy lunch program(s) for students in Oakland and gives away more than 1500 toys and warm coats to needy families annually. Her dedication has led to the implementation of programs such as T.U.D.A. (Think, Understand & Don't Assume Autistic Playgroup), The Male Cascade Leadership Summer Literacy Program and most recently, Hella Nuts, the Plant-Based Eatery is a Plant-Based Cafe opening in Oakland California in 2019.

The brainchild of a dynamic, minority-owned, mother-daughter plant-based duo, The Hella Nuts Podcast was created to parallel the restaurant as everyday people segue into a healthier lifestyle! Mieko and her daughter, Kamari love to create and consume great food...together! That connection and passion has moved them into a healthy, plant based lifestyle, one they want to share with the world. Lively conversations, fun cooking demos and special guests are in store!
